April 13, 2019 --------------------------------------------------------------------- I’ve been inactive for months, but my blog Fast Edi Thoughts and Comments is not dead. Back on August 17, 2012, I wrote about Julian Assange here. Seven years later, he is back in the news. He was arrested at Ecuador’s embassy in London on Thursday. In Facebook, I asked my friends to give me their thoughts about this. Here are some of the comments: . Shame on Ecuador. . To leak the truth can be sin. . The Ecuadorian embassy shall forever smell of cat hair. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I also went through many comments from different people in YouTube. Most people were on the side of Julian Assange. Most people were against the U.S. Government and Ecuador’s new president Lenin Moreno. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Former president of Ecuador Rafael Correa slammed Lenin Moreno, the current president, accusing him of selling out to the U.S. Government, betraying his own country and jeopardizing international law of human rights and asylum. He added that Moreno did money laundering and hid his corrupted money in an offshore company in Panama, which Julian Assange knew and wrote about. The U.S. Government had made a deal with Moreno by giving him financial assistance in billions of dollars through the International Monetary Fund (IMF), and in return Moreno would and did kick Julian out of the Ecuadorian embassy in London. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ By now, the whole world knows that the Iraq War was an illegal war based on lies that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction. It had no connection with 911 at all. The truth appeared to be that Saddam Hussein did not want to sell oil in U.S. Dollars, so he was taken down. Through Bradley, now Chelsea Manning, Julian Assange exposed the war crimes of the U.S., most widely known to be so in a collateral murder video, which showed that some journalists and civilians were killed by American shooting from a helicopter. So who are the war criminals? Former U.S. president George Bush, former U.S. vice president Dick Cheney, former prime minister of U.K. Tony Blair and their whole top gang! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What is my point? My point is that there is no true justice in this world. Why are war criminals not prosecuted but people who told the truth? ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- There is death penalty in the U.S. Also, it was a fact that CIA tortured their detainees by calling it an enhanced interrogation technique. For these reasons, I hope Julian Assange’s lawyers can fight to stop his extradition to the U.S. However, I am not too optimistic, are you? Fast Edi Thoughts and Comments

Donald Trump's Conflict of Interest

A friend in Facebook posted a news article titled ‘Trump’s Biggest Potential Conflict of Interest’. The headline refers to Donald Trump’s tenant on the 20th floor of the Trump Tower, namely the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC), in which the Chinese Government has a majority of ownership. _________________________________________________ These are my thoughts and comments: If my memory is correct, the conflict of interest law in the U.S. does not apply to the U.S. President. In the U.S., much corruption is legalized or made legal. Lobbying is in a sense legalized bribery. There are so many ways to bribe a politician in the U.S., such as making huge political donations, giving ridiculously high speaking fees, and doing inside trading by members of Congress who are immune from prosecution, etc. etc. _________________________________________________ There are people in this world who are above or beyond the law, like the Pope, the kings and queens, the world leaders such as George Bush, the former U.S. President and Tony Blair, the former UK Prime Minister who invaded Iraq and caused the death of tens of thousands if not millions of innocent people. Who has the guts and means to bring these people to justice, if they did break the law? _________________________________________________ But then what would you do if you were Donald Trump? Tell his tenants to move out of the Trump Tower, let the rental space stay vacant and give up all the lucrative rental fees? To close and sell all his businesses? Is it even workable? What would you suggest? _________________________________________________ All said, we should understand that U.S.A. is not a socialist country. Capitalism and Individualism are high American values. In their extreme forms of ideology and selfish practices, Democracy in the U.S. is not so much about the politicians, the elites and the rulers helping the common people but rather helping themselves and supporting the rich and powerful. _________________________________________________ The U.S. is a republic, yes, a democracy in political system, ideology and appearance, but its socio-economic and political reality is rather more like a Plutocracy and Oligarchy. Power to the rich, money to the powerful, and if you are one of the common people, then sorry, you are on your own!

Tony Blair Defense

It seems that the more religious and conservative people are, the more messed up they become. Politicians who are fervently religious and conservative often use god and religion as an excuse,to punish their enemies and justify their aggression against other human beings.Instead of following their so-called god of love, they go to war and kill their fellow human beings. Their god is rather money, power and greed !!!

We need more intelligent people of love and peace in this world, not hypocrites, bullies, morons,liars and killers. We need Spirituality which unites and liberates people, not religion which separates and imprisons people.

The Iraq war did not break out. It was manufactured by Bush and gang, including Cheney, Rice, Rumsfeld and more. These people and Tony Blair of UK are alleged war criminals, who told lies and played dumb that they did not know. Bush and gang broke many U.S.laws, international laws, human rights laws, the Geneva Conventions, even against and violated the U.S.Constitution and UN Charter, causing the death of thousands upon thousands of innocent people: Americans, Iraqis and people of other nationalities.

Regarding the Iraq war,Tony Blair's defense is an insult to people's intelligence and conscience. He said," This isn't about a lie, or a conspiracy, or a deceit, or a deception. It's a decision."

Can a murderer,rapist,bank robber and all kinds of criminals say something like Tony Blair did to defend themselves ? For example, if a bank robber went to rob a bank and killed some people, could he say " Hey, it was only a decision, OK ? Yes, I killed a few people, but it was only an accident, OK ? It was the result of friendly fire and collateral damage only." Call it the Tony Blair defense !!!

Some people may not be above the law, but they are beyond the law.It is very difficult to catch and prosecute them. Nobody seems to have the guts and means to bring them to justice.

If these alleged criminals think that they are innocent, then they should have no fear and worry to go to trial. I say 'alleged' because in the free world, one is supposed to be innocent until proven guilty.In some countries, you are guilty until proven innocent. If you happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, you got screwed.

Certainly the Iraq war did not break out. It was manufactured by Bush and gang. It was not an accident. It was the 'decision' of Bush and gang, and Blair's, to invade a sovereign country,Iraq, which had no weapons of mass destruction or direct link to 911. It was all one big lie !!! If Bush and gang, and Tony Blair all went to trial,I think they would be found guilty. Liars, murderers and war criminals would be their new titles. History will not speak well of Bush and Blair !!!
