Being alone is not being lonely. Unlike a child, a spiritually mature person doesn't always need company and protection. He or she is a self-sufficient and happy person.

Being alone is not being lonely. It is untrue that you must have someone with you all the time. Being alone is necessary, in order to keep in touch with yourself and maintain a good mental and emotional balance.
