Two Big Mouths from America

This is my opinion:

Jon Stewart has a large brain and a big mouth. He is smart and funny !

Glenn Beck has a small brain and a big mouth. He is neither smart nor funny !

What is the Difference ?

What is the difference between a political party and a gang ? The former is legal, the latter is not.

What is the difference between lobbying and bribery ? Ditto !

What is the difference between democracy and plutocracy ? The former is a common brand name, the latter is a common reality.

What do you do, if you can't tell a lie, but you don't want to tell the truth either ? Talk like a politician !

Refudiate

Is 'Refudiate' an English word ? Pretty Ma Ma Sarah Palin has just coined this new word, but what does it really mean ? I don't know.

What did Sarah Palin mean when she used this word for the very first time in public ? To refuse ? To reject ? To refute ? To repudiate? What is the use to create a new word which we don't know how to use ?

I don't like the sound of 'Refudiate', unless we change it into a Spanish word 'Re-fu-dia-te', but would the Spanish-speaking people accept it ? I doubt it. Well, at least it would mean something, sort of, like " Hey you, it is the Day of the Refugees!"

Sarah Palin is not alone. George Bush once used a non-existing English word 'Misunderestimate'. Did he mean to combine 'Misunderstand' and 'Underestimate' and turn them into one word ? Was he that clever ? I don't think so. Palin and Bush are not Shakespeare. I don't support the formal recognition of their newly coined words 'Refudiate' and 'misunderestimate' as acceptable English words.The sounds of the two words are not good and the meanings are unclear.If you are a professor in the English language, please tell me your opinion.

Eighty nine years ago, in 1921, U.S. President Warren Harding coined the word 'Normalcy' in his speech, instead of saying 'Normality'. I learned about this from a Professor in U.S. History. Now, it is normal to say Normalcy. I think this is O.K., because the sound of Normalcy is good, and the meaning is clear.

I propose the meaning of 'Refudiate' as " No No No. I don't know. Don't say anything against me. Say everything against anything which I am against."

Let's get rid of all the 'misunderestimation' and return to 'Normalcy', shall we ?
If you say 'No', I'm going to 'refudiate'. Puke !

Anne Rice Quits Christianity

In the news,American author Anne Rice has quit Christianity. What a courageous woman! I am an ex-Catholic and ex-Christian myself. Like her, I saw so much hypocrisy in organized Catholic and Christian religions that I have quit. My intelligence and conscience would not allow me to stay on, to continue to live a lie in a religious box with so many untruths and unscientific teachings.

It is nonsense that the Pope is infallible, gay people are evil, men are smarter than women, and only Christians will be saved and go to heaven, and the rest of humanity being atheists and of other religions will all go to hell.

I said it last year, and I am saying it now again.If you are a closet atheist, please have courage and come out of the religious box. Set yourself free! If you are a Christian, you can still keep and practise all those good teachings of Jesus about love and forgiveness, without having to stay in the Christian box. You'll find less hypocrisy, and more freedom and honesty outside the box.

Again, in the end, the decision or choice is yours. I am just expressing my views and giving you some suggestions.

Iraq War

I am shocked by some people who still think that Bush and gang 'did the right thing', by invading Iraq as a response to 911.Committing a war crime, or doing something illegal,causing the death of thousands upon thousands of innocent people,could not be doing the right thing.

Emotionalism, nationalism, political bias, economic gains, access to oil,religious bullshit - all these cannot change the illegality of the Iraq War.It was, still is, definitely illegal.

Is God a Snail ?

After many years of diligent studies,observations and personal experiences, I have come to the conclusion that there is no supernatural God at all.

This so-called almighty God is supposed to be all-knowing, all-loving and all-powerful. If there is such a supreme being, then he indeed deserves our utmost admiration and worship, but if he does not exist, then why live a lie ?

Let's look at just one example, to answer the question on whether this so-called almighty God is all-powerful or not. Some fundamental Christians insist that the Bible is the words of God, who created the world in 6 days. Some theologians, biblical scholars and Christian experts explain that one day is 1000 years to God, so God completed his creation of the world in 6000 years.

Our computers can solve billions of operations in only one second. If it took God 6000 years to create the world, it was way too slow. Even if it were 6 human days, it was still way too slow. Is God a snail?

Advanced extraterrestrials exist, but a supernatural God doesn't.

Being Alone

Being alone is not being lonely. It is untrue that you must have someone with you all the time. Being alone is necessary, in order to keep in touch with yourself and maintain a good mental and emotional balance.
